Organization and Promotion of Major Canada-Russia Events

One of the KEI Centre’s most important activities is organizing and facilitating participation in major Canadian-Russian conferences and exhibitions devoted to Canadian-Russian cooperation, such as the conference “ How to do business in Russia” (Canada, 1999).

The President of KEI Centre Dr. Olga Belkina was a keynote speaker at the Conference “Equal Rights and Opportunities: A Gender Approach” and its associated Business Symposium under the auspices of the Women and Labour Market Reform in Russia project (Russia, 2002). This event was held under the auspices of the Team Canada mission to Russia. A joint Russia/Canada Business Panel was held and commercial links were established between women entrepreneurs in Russia and Canada as a result of the event.

KEI Centre participated in promoting and attracting Canadian businessmen and scientists for the Canadian-Russian Forum “Trade and Economic Cooperation of Russia and Canada: realities and outlooks” and the Exhibition of Russian Manufactures organized by the Government of the Russian Federation (Canada, 2004).

An important service provided by KEI Centre is promotion of Canadian government’s programs for the Russian-speaking communities. For example, KEI Centre assisted the Ontario Ministry of Environment with promotion of the Ontario’s Drive Clean program within the Russian community in Canada.

Organization of Business Programs, Visits, Seminars, Missions

Since 1993 KEI Centre has organized numerous Canadian and North American - Russian business programs for different industries.

The industries involved in cooperation form a very broad spectrum. Each program reflects industrial aspects and specific intentions of each group and provides maximum consideration of interests of the participants.
This approach allows Russian companies to get acquainted with Canadian and North American achievements and allows Canadian and North American companies participating in the programs to meet their Russian counterparts, to introduce their companies, to promote business, products, services, to find potential partners and customers.

KEI Centre has wide experience in organizing events in high technologies including telecommunications, information technologies, electronics, aerospace, advanced manufacturing and other areas.

Taking into consideration that there are many leading companies in these fields in Canada, KEI Centre has organized numerous events for introducing Canadian and Russian companies to each other and exchanging experience and expertise.

It leads to mutual interests in many industries and areas: municipal issues, construction of buildings, houses, highways, roads, bridges, transportation, sewage disposal, gas and electricity supply, smart cities, sustainable development, energy and environment and other subjects and industries. It especially concerns the industries developing in the cold climate. KEI Centre meets the demand and pays especial attention to organizing events in the areas of mutual interests.

One of the most important activities of KEI Centre is bringing Russian delegations and missions to Canadian, North and South American conferences, trade shows and exhibitions. But our programs are not limited to just attending events; we contact various interested companies and organizations for hosting delegations and arranging meetings.
